Worn out from the weekend

This weekend was pretty rough for Grant.  He's teething again.  He has one tooth that has popped through really well, but we suspect there are other/s trying to make an appearance.  Teething causes Grant to yell out loudly, cry, fuss, have diaper rash, not sleep, and make his parents very weary.  We could use some good vibes and any tips you may have.  And please don't comment about the elusive and wonderful teething tablets.  They were recalled, and can't be found anymore.

Grant spent the weekend with Mommy, Daddy, Grandpa and Nonna at the lake house.  He did some fun stuff like try food for the first time.  He tried sweet potatoes and squash.  Neither were a really big hit.  We took pictures, and those will be uploaded later this week.

In other news, Grant likes his toy bar and baby mirror.  He'll play and play until he falls asleep.

In order to not wake him, we took the butterfly he was gripping off the toy bar.

Timber!

He can almost sit up, but not quite.  He'll sit up for about 20 seconds or so, then fall one way or the other.  We always practice sitting on the soft bed, of course.

School days

Here are a few pics from Grant's school.

Such a happy boy!

Cara and Grant share some stories and laughs.

After a big day of playing, Grant poops out right in front of the floor mirror.

Jump around!

Mimi brought Grant a jumper this weekend.  At first I was resistant because we have no doorways in which to hang it in the common areas.  Then I realized that we have a door frame in our master bath, and Grant could play in the jumper while we're getting ready for work in the morning.  And boy, if that didn't make his day.  See below for proof!

Parker had to get in the picture, too, you know.

Thanks for my jumper, Mimi!

Weekend fun!

We visited Grandpa's and Nonna's house on Saturday for Poppy's (Nonna's dad) 90th birthday.  Unfortunately, we haven't a single picture of Grant with his great-grandfather... yet.  I think Nonna got some, so we'll see soon. But, here are a few pics of Grant with Grandpa and one with cousin Kayla!

What's that, Grandpa?

You make me laugh!

Visiting with Kayla - I'm almost as big as she is!

Sweet baby dimples.

And on Sunday, Mimi came to visit!  We had a great afternoon - delicious lunch and girl time at the Firewheel Mall.  Well, girl time with one baby boy is still girl time, right?

Too funny!

Grant is not going to sleep tonight, according to him.  It's almost 10:00pm, and he's been awake since about 1:15 with no more than about 30 minutes of sleep sprinkled throughout the day in the car.  He's fighting it pretty hard, and we have him laying in the bed with us, hoping that it will make him more comfortable maybe?  Anyway, he rolled over on his tummy and we thought it was going to be the end of the wide awake happy baby time (because have you heard about how much this kid hates tummy time?), but instead, he realized the Mavs were playing, propped himself up, and became engrossed in the game.  Boy much?  Me thinks.

Someone had a busy weekend

And he's pooped!  After a party for his great-grandfather's 90th birthday on Saturday, and a visit from his Mimi on Sunday, Grant was pretty exhausted.  Lots of cute pictures from the weekend to come!

::sigh::

Grant has a hard time understanding why he doesn't get many comments on his blog. And it makes him sad.

Hanging out with the 'rents.

Grant is having a great time, despite his tooth pain.

Ooh, time out to look at my fist...

Ok, back to happy times.

And lastly, here's a shot of the tooth trying to make its debut. Can you see it?

Under the Weather

I've not been feeling well lately.  I have a tooth coming in.  It makes me drool and stick my fingers in my mouth a lot, and generally be a little on the fussy side.  I kept my mommy and daddy up all night last night.  But they are forgiving because I am so cute.
