Merry Christmas!

And God bless us, everyone.

Someone sent a remote control car!  We're not real sure who sent all the Amazon.com gifts, since there wasn't a name or packing slip, but Grant *loved* them all!

Santa Claus brought him a whole city!

...and the "DUMP TRUCK!!!" he's been wanting.

Opening stockings...

Ryan says, "Meh. Whatevs."

I loved the fury at which he opened his gifts.

This was actually in Grant's stocking, but Ryan loved it so much that he ended up with it.  It was a cheap light-up toy from Walgreen's. Such a huge hit with him.  If only it had a switch to keep it on, instead of having to hold down a button.

Happy boy!

Holy back-dated post, Batman!

Ryan turned 6-months old on DECEMBER 5th.  Welcome to the stage of life where I never have time for anything anymore, least of all, blogging.  :-)

Here are his stats from his 6-month doctor appointment:

Weight - 18lbs 2oz (63%)
Height - 28" (95%)

He got 5 shots (OUCH!) and a good once-over, wherein the doctor reported him to be perfect.

Have we reported that he has two teeth!?  He's so incredibly sweet.  There are days and days where he never even cries.  He's just so content all the time.  Which is great, because Grant already keeps me on my toes.

Ryan's diaper shots!

Here's big brother and stats at 6 months!

All the monthlies can be seen here!

Birthday Boy!

Grant turned 3 on December 6th.  Even though we were iced in, we still had presents for the birthday boy, and managed to venture out to see Santa Claus.  Here he is opening his presents on his birthday!

Just like Mama, he tackles every task with him tongue sticking out.

He loved his new soft car racers!

Ryan was very happy to watch the events.

Later we tackled the ice storm and went to see Santa.  There was no one at the mall.  Half the shops were closed!  We saw Santa about 20 yards in front of us walking through the mall, and we were half surprised that he showed up for work!  But he did, and we got a good picture.  Here we are walking through the winter wonderland at Willow Bend Mall.

Grant ventures into the snow room.  We played in the snow just long enough for me to look like I had a really horrid case of dandruff that I couldn't

Happy Birthday, Grant!

Rob and I took the day off and spent some real quality time with Grant today. It turned out to be a nasty ice-covered-everything day, so our nanny couldn't make it to work, but we are so glad we planned the day off so we weren't held to working from home and could have some fun with Grant.

He opened a couple of gifts and then we dressed him and baby brother in their Christmas PJs and ventured out into the messy ice storm to see Santa.

Grant has been talking about Santa for weeks. I thought surely he would finally be ready to sit in Santa's lap and give him an earful about all the different trucks he wanted for Christmas. But wouldn't you know it?  He was so scared of Santa!  Getting him to nervously stand next to him while we took some photos was as good as it got this year.  Maybe next year??

First Foods for Ryan

Can you believe this boy will be 6 months old tomorrow!?

Well, we're doing rice cereal now, so prepare for the messes.

We tried to get all the mess contained in a bib, but he thought the bib was better tasting than the rice cereal.  I'm pretty sure they are both pretty tasteless.  We tried to do pureed bananas in addition, but he was not interested in them and spit them out immediately.  Almost like the flavor was too powerful for him.  In his defense, baby food is pretty sweet/sour tasting to me.  Anyway, this session ended with lots of cleanup!

Family Picture Time!

You guessed it - Stephanie took some more family pictures, and I've gotten two sneak peeks!  I can't wait to see the rest!  We're so in love with these cute boys!
